CANCER - The Brain - Recurrance |
|||
| Attending follow up clinics is
often a worrying time as you are anxious to hear that everything is normal. In some
instances a cancer can come back in the same area where it initially started. Your doctor
will need to explain the extent of this recurrence and how it will be treated. This is
different from a secondary tumour, where a cancer has spread to a different part of the
body. CancerBACUP's factsheet on secondary brain tumours explains this in more detail. Learning that your cancer has come back can feel devastating. You could also ring the cancer nurses of our Cancer Support Service on 0808 800 1234. |
